First recycled necktie dog collars, now this! Laura Skelton's delightfully playful "pearl" necklaces, made with colorful, recycled ties, are now at the very top of my wish list. And at $20, they have a good chance of making it off the list and onto my neck even in this economy. Working in New Orleans' 9th Ward, Skelton wraps vintage neckties around recycled Mardi Gras beads -- genius!
These necklaces are the exact accessory I need for those days when my fashion brain turns to mush and all I can throw together is a pair of jeans and a black tank. One of Skelton's chunky, no-brainer necklaces would take the look from pulled-from-the-laundry to pulled-together pronto. Love 'em!
Happy Friday!

Oh, these are adorable! I'm checking her out. I love the notion of an easy-peasy piece of jewelry that no one else has!
