Skull and crossbones patterns are not only uber-trendy in the design world these days, but they're also pretty darn timely considering Halloween is just around the corner. And so, without further ado, I present my very first seasonally chic post: eco-friendly skull and crossbones finds. Drum roll, please....
First off are the fantastically wacky and clever designs of Sarah Cihat. She scours secondhand stores like Goodwill and Salvation Army for discarded dishware and then resurrects the plates into a stylish new life with shiny glazes and cool graphics like these evil-eyed skulls.

Next up we have three hipper-than-hip organic cotton and/or recycled material bags - as perfect for trick-or-treating as they are for grocery shopping.
1. Granny Skull organic bag from My Baby Unicorn (via Etsy):
2. Paul's Motors winged skull organic tote via eBay:
3. Recycled corduroy Pirate Skull bag - in grey or red - from Brat Sacks Baby (via Etsy):
A pirate journal from Global Exchange made of cruelty-free leather and 100% tree-free paper. The journal is made by artisans in India employed by a group that trains the local villagers in paper art and provides sustainable employment, fair wages, and good working conditions.
A Poison Flask from Perpetual Kid - so much better than paper for holding juice, coffee, martinis.
Skull and crossbones bamboo knitting needles from Designs by Tami (via Etsy). Perfect for knitting those little lil' pumpkin hats.
Lastly, a few organic cotton skull tees.
1. Deadphones from CafePress:
2. Pink tee from FunT-Shirts:
3. And a good, old fashioned, distressed black skull tee from Ophelia's Art:
Seen any fab and green skull stuff out there that I'm missing?
